Terry L . Swink, 61 of El Paso TX, formerly of Wapakoneta and Maysville KY, died at 8:15 P.M. on August 28, 2009 at Providence Hospital in El Paso.
He was born on February 1, 1948 in Wapakoneta to Roy Swink and Koneta "Connie" Campbell. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Swink was a graduate of Wapakoneta High School and attended Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green OH. He was also a medic in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was employed by Wapak Products in Wapakoneta, Techno Trim of Maysville, KY and finally Johnson Control where he was a supervisor of engineering at the Juarez, Mexico plant. He was an avid golfer, boater, and serious fisherman. He will be missed always by his family, many friends, and co-workers. We're going to miss you Terry.
He is survived by two daughters; Tara (Ronnie) Anderson and Tricia Swink and five grandchildren of Maysville KY; three brothers; Ron Swink and Rex (Jane) Swink of Wapakoneta, and Randy (Lora) Swink of Covington, Ohio; along with several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews; four Aunts; and several cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 4 P.M. at Schlosser Funeral Home and Cremation Services where military rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 8445. Burial will be at a later date. Family will receive friends from 2 until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to a Hospice Organization of the donor's choice.
