Theodore A. "Ted" Lea, 60, of Wapakoneta died at 9:48 a.m. Saturday May 17, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic after a battle with cancer.
He was born on January 27, 1954 in Fremont, OH to Harlan L. & Peggy (Yoh) Lea. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Largo, FL.
On July 30, 1979, he married Terri L. Frey who survives in Waynesfield.
He is survived by his three children, Tasha (Salman Mahboob) Lea of San Francisco, CA, Travis (Amber) Lea of Jacksonville, FL and Theodore Lea of Columbus, OH; a brother Timothy Lea of Wapakoneta and a sister Tamara Green of FL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kaleb, Aaron, Ethan and Ashton Lea, Haley Stemen and Layla and Zain Mahboob.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Earl W. Frey.
Ted was a 1972 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. He worked at Sohigro / Terra near Moulton for over 27 years and in 1999 he retired as plant manager. Ted then started his own business ForeverGreen & CleanPonds specializing in lawn and pond care. He was very dedicated to his business and especially enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and working in his shop.
A private gathering to celebrate Ted's life will be held at a later date.
