Stetson Patrick Etzkorn, 3 months and 18 days, passed away in his sleep, the morning of Monday, September 4, 2023.  He was born on May 17, 2023, in Lima, to AJ & Taylor (Murphy) Etzkorn.  His parents and older sisters, Brynlee and Gentry, survive at home in Wapakoneta.

Survivors also include maternal grandparents, Patrick & Angie Murphy, Elida; paternal grandparents, Mike & Penny Etzkorn, Wapakoneta; maternal aunt and cousin, Madison Murphy, Elida, and her daughter, Kehlani; paternal uncles, Elijah & Jammison Etzkorn and Garrett Etzkorn, all of Wapakoneta; maternal great-grandparents, Sally Murphy and Don & Linda Lybarger, all of Elida; maternal extended family, Stacy & Buddy Jolliff and their children, Hunter and Ashlyn; Vincent & Kendra Murphy and their children, Braden and Kerianne; Brian & Ronda Lybarger and their son, Brayden; paternal extended family, Vickie & Robbie Douglas; Greg & Marilyn Foxhoven; Monte Foxhoven; David & Karen Etzkorn and their daughter, Sarah; Doug & Connie Etzkorn.

Stetson was welcomed into Heaven by his maternal great-grandfather, Tom Murphy; paternal great-grandparents, Damien & Vivian Foxhoven and Richard & Martha Etzkorn; and honorary uncle, Josh Vorhees.

A nosey boy, Stetson always wanted to know what was going on around him.  He was ready to share a smile at anyone who talked to him... as long as his belly was full.  He loved being snuggled, especially by his sisters, who would sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or the Frozen song to him.  Stetson loved going on golf cart rides and was the most spoiled baby at Huggy Bear Campgrounds.  A big mama’s boy, Stetson was a little cowboy, often found in Wranglers, boots and pearl-button shirt.  His hat collection was catching up to his dad’s too and those hats had a way of framing his big, beautiful eyes.  He and dad also shared a love for farming, as he was the next generation in Etzkorn Family Farms.  His favorite thing in the world to do was watching tractor and farming videos with dad.

In addition to living on in the memory of his family and friends, Stetson also shared the gift of life through organ donation.

A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.  His great-uncle, Vincent Murphy, will officiate the services.  Friends may visit from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  The family asks that you honor Stetson's life by wearing casual attire, especially jeans and cowboy boots.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
