Silvia A. Locker

Silvia A. Locker, 63, of Sidney, passed away at the morning of Friday, September 13, 2024 at her residence. She was born on October 8, 1960 in Sidney, to Carl E. and Dicy E. (Anderson) Davis who have preceded her in death.

Survivors include her three children, Nelon L. Locker, of Sidney, Brandon E. Locker, of Lansing, MI, and Thia M. (Scott) Kantner, of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren, Xandreah, Gabriel, Logan, Kaitie, and Dusty; six siblings, Trent Davis, of Sidney, Brant Davis, of Sidney, Dicy Webb, of Indiana, Mark (Jayme) Davis, of Wapakoneta, Carlene (Tony) Richmond, of Celina, Renie Kraft, of Piqua; and a whole host of nieces and nephews.

Silvia was preceded in death by a sister, Krystal Davis.

A caring and helpful person by nature, Silvia was always serving as a Sunday School teacher, most recently for the past twenty years at the Buckeye Gospel Barn, Quincy.  She had a strong faith, deep relationship with God and loved to support her church in any way she could.  Another big part of her life were her family and friends.  She loved playing board games with them and bake for them, sharing recipes along the way.  Silvia loved all crafts, but painting and crocheting were among her favorites.  With a slight obsession, she could never pass up anything turtle related and loved adding to her collection.  The only thing that came close to her love for turtles was Elvis.  A true fanatic, she loved his songs, his movies, everything about him.  Silvia will best be remembered for living her life as if it was a musical.  She was able to create impromptu parodies on normal conversation and had a song for every situation.

A Memorial Service will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Buckeye Gospel Barn, Quincy.  Pastor Bobbi Allen will officiate. Interment of her cremated remains will be at a later date in Sidney Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Buckeye Gospel Barn, Quincy.
