Head Alter. Her father has preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Wapakoneta. On September 30, 1974, Sherry married Robert J. Quinn, who survives.
Survivors also include her daughter, Erin & Justin Quinn-Stevens, of Indianapolis, IN; her son, R. Jay & September Quinn, of Botkins; two grandchildren, Reilly Quinn and Regan Quinn; four siblings, Ralph & Shelli Alter, of Carmel, IN, Jeff & Patty Alter, of Houston, TX, Shannan & Jerry Fisher, of Wapakoneta, and Scott & Cathay Alter, of San Antonio, TX; and a close niece, Jamie & Michael Stephens, of Columbus.
Sherry can best be described as a loving wife, caring mother, and doting grandmother. A graduate of East Detroit High School, Sherry had worked as a phlebotomist before she and Bob moved to Wapakoneta in 1980. In past years, Sherry and Bob loved to travel, going on cruises and renewing their wedding vows on their 25th Anniversary in Las Vegas. Recently Sherry's hobbies have included knitting, spending time with her beloved grandkids and canine companions, and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. A voracious reader, Sherry also loved to cook. She enjoyed extending her talent of cooking to family members and neighbors. Sherry's greatest treasure was her family. She cherished every moment they could all be together.
Sherry's wishes were to have a private family service prior to her cremation. Condolences may be expressed at www.schlosserfuneralhome.com
