Scott A. Doty

Scott A. Doty, 61, of Wapakoneta, passed away peacefully at 12:20 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Lima Memorial Health System with his family by his side.
He was born on May 17, 1963 in Lima, OH to William and Barbara (Coats) Doty. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Wapakoneta. On November 21, 1987 he married Ty Knoch and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include 2 children; Tayler (Ian) Young, Jeremy (Leah Wolford) Doty both of Wapakoneta; 2 brothers, Bill (Pam) Doty Jr., Steve (Becky) Doty, and mother-in-law, Barbara Knoch.
Scott was preceded in death by his father-in-law Tom R. Knoch.
Scott was a 1982 graduate of Wapakoneta High School and Apollo Career Center. He was a welder for Accubuilt, Lima. He was a NRA Certified Instructor and loved target and competition shooting. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and coon hunting with his friends and family. Scott loved his family and enjoyed watching his children compete in a variety of sports and activities.
Family and friends may visit from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will be at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Ty Doty for medical expenses.
