Sandra J. Fisher, 77, of Wapakoneta passed away at 7:05 a.m. Saturday August 27, 2016 at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima after a short bout with lung cancer. She was a wonderful mother and friend that was loved by many and led a long and dignified life.
She was born on April 1, 1939 in Lima, OH to Roy & Edna (Patterson) Miller who preceded her in death. On November 16, 1957 she married Robert L. Fisher and he passed away on November 22, 1996.
Survivors include 5 children; Stacey, Randall, Scott, Terry (Teresa) Fisher all of Wapakoneta, Cary (Beth) Fisher of Wylie, TX, 7 grandchildren Audrey, Taylor and Morgan Fisher all of Wapakoneta, Tyler (Natalie), Cheyenne and Hailey Fisher of Wylie, TX, and Brenden Fisher of St. Mary's, a great-granddaughter Kenzie Fisher of Wylie, TX and a sister-in-law Susan (Brockart) Fisher.
She was preceded in death by a sister Kathleen (Cletus) Luma, a brother Butch Miller, brothers and sisters-in-law Agnes (Howard) Kohler, Helen (Robert) Manger, Clem (Hilda) Fisher, Earl (Reba) (Ruth) Fisher, Louise (John) McFarland, Harold (Catherine) Fisher, Paul (Mabel) Fisher, Leroy (Betty) Fisher, William (Shirley) Fisher, Betty (Robert) Spurlock and Richard Fisher.
Sandra was a 1957 graduate of Buckland High School. She was a retired school bus driver for Wapakoneta City Schools and had worked at Walmart since it opened. She had also worked at
the Auglaize County Council of Aging. She was a member of Amvets Post 333, V.F.W. Post 8445 and Eagles Aerie 691.
It was Sandra's wishes to have her body donated to The Ohio State University Medical Center.
There will be no visitation or services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be directed to the Auglaize County Council on Aging.
