Ruth M. "Boots" Jaynes

Ruth M. "Boots" Jaynes, 87, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 7:25 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Vancrest of St. Marys.

She was born on September 11, 1934 in Lima, OH to Robert and Marie (Tobin) Cook who preceded her in death.

Survivors include 4 children Celia (Ted) McCullough, Bob (Lisa) Jaynes, Elizabeth (Dave) Thompson, Laura (Bernie) DeHart; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters Bettye Brewer, Mary Ribley, Carol Sneary.

Ruth was preceded in death by a daughter Alison Roediger and a brother Robert Cook.

Ruth was a 1953 graduate of St. Johns Catholic School, Lima.  She enjoyed watching Notre Dame, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Private family graveside services will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery, Lima.
