Russell N. Howard 81, of Wapakoneta died at 9:30 P.M. November 11, 2010 at Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born July 11, 1929 in Auglaize County to Joseph C. & Daisy (Beeler) Howard who preceded him in death. On July 1, 1950 he married Joanne (Poppe) Howard who survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include one son, Joseph R. (Kathleen) Howard of Wapakoneta; two grandsons, Matthew Schmalenberger of Wapakoneta and Jason (Michelle) Howard of Lima; seven great grandchildren; and a sister Pauline Deerhake of Sun City West, AZ.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Howard was a 1947 graduate of Blume High School. He retired after 39 years of service with Textron Corp. in Lima. He enjoyed playing softball and especially golf.
Private burial will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation.
