Robert T. "Bob" Schwenger Sr., 56, of Wapakoneta passed away at 5:20 p.m. Friday September 9, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima after battling lung cancer.
He was born on July 18, 1960 in Shinglehouse, PA to Robert & Virginia (Ulner) Schwenger who preceded him in death. On February 12, 1988 he married the love of his life Toni Ann Beiletti who survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include a son; Robert T. (Jada) Schwenger Jr. of Sidney, a daughter Rebecca (Dillon) Eyink of Celina, to expected grandbabies on the way, 6 nieces and nephews and 2 great-nephews.
Bob was a 1978 graduate of Oswayo Valley High School of Shinglehouse, PA. He was a served with the U.S. Air Force as a heavy equipment operator. He then graduated from Triangle Tech in Pittsburgh, PA. He worked 21 years at Copeland in Sidney as a lab technician. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed classic rock and country. He also enjoyed working on his 1962 Ford Thunderbird. Most of all he especially loved all of his dogs. He built a magnificent family and will be remember as being a supportive husband, father, uncle and friend.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday September 13, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church where Rev. Patrick Sloneker will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
