Rickey Joseph "Rick" Schaub, 60, of Botkins, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ at 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday November 23, 2016.
He was born July 27, 1956 in Shelby County to Nelson and Phyllis (Oakley) Schaub who survive in Wapakoneta. On July 23, 1977, he married to Julie (Clayton) who preceded him in death in 2011.
He is survived by four daughters, Belinda (Zac) Fonner, of Marysville, Michelle (Tyler) Argo of Hilliard, Brandy (Robert) Luckey of Sidney, and Amanda (Brian) Chin of Dublin; ten grandchildren, Noah, McKenna, Robbie, Emily, Zavier, Clayton, Grant, Julian, Oliver and Isaiah; six brothers and sisters, Jerry (Eliane) Schaub, Teresa Oakes, Marsha (Steve) Fogt, John Schaub, Melissa (John) Nowlin, and Tammera (John) Cervi, and 12 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Rick was a strong, hard-working and lovable man. He retired from Airstream in Jackson Center after nearly 34 years. Rick enjoyed fishing especially at Rice Lake in Canada, competing in antique tractor pulls where he earned points champion multiple times, farming and most of all, relished time spent with his children and grandchildren. His quick wit was regularly present in friendly discussion which consistently brought laughs and smiles to those engaged in the conversation. Rick will be greatly missed and wonderfully remembered in the hearts of many.
Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. on Monday, November 28 at Schlosser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 615 N. Dixie Highway, Wapakoneta. A private family service will be held at a later date.
