Raymond A. Grover, 76, of Waynesfield, passed away at 11:14 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health System with his family by his side.
He was born on November 14, 1946, in Bowling Green, to Arthur G. & Marcella E. (Buchman) Grover, who have preceded him in death. On August 26, 1977, he married Deborah S. (Jackson) Grover, who survives.
Survivors also include his son, Ray (Bill Suever) Grover; three daughters, Debra (Marvin) Moore, Jenny Lowe, and Melissa (Bart) Shadle; 11 grandchildren, Cole, Dillon (Kassidy), Josh, and Jenna Grover, Taylor and Seth Lowe, Megan and Andrew Moore, and Noah and Leah Shadle; step-grandson, Brandon Suever; three brothers, Don (Sandy), Roger (Janet), and Dave (Beth) Grover; two sisters, Jane Shultz and Judy Walter; sister-in-law, Belinda Grover; and his favorite fur baby, Gunner.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ron, Doug, and Bob.
A 1964 graduate of Eastwood High School, Ray proudly served in the United States Army from 1966-69 in Korea. For over 29 years, he worked at Procter & Gamble in Lima. In his free time, Ray enjoyed spending time on the water fishing and cheering on his grandchildren at their activities. He will be most remembered for his quick wit... always having the right thing to say at the perfect moment.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, with military rites performed by the Wapakoneta VFW Post 8445, where he was a life member. Pastors Jon Horn and Jean Horn from the New Hampshire Community Church will officiate. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
