Paul Kohler

Paul Kohler, 89, of Wapakoneta passed away at 5:45 P.M. March 2, 2012.
He was born on October 21, 1922 in Auglaize County to August "Gus" & Clara (Puthoff) Kohler who preceded him in death. On April 17, 1948 he married Clara R. Kreitzer who survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include a daughter, Barb (Jim) Price of Wapakoneta and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert "Herbie" Kohler and a sister, Anna Kohler.
Paul was born and raised on the family homestead. He was a lifelong farmer and a steward of the soil. He was always very particular with anything he did, had a very strong work ethic and always enjoyed being outside and anything related to farming. He also enjoyed going to Berlet's Farm Service to converse with area farmers. He was an Auglaize County Farm Bureau member. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he also attended school in Wapakoneta.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 10:30 Thursday, March 8, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Matt Lee will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 Wednesday and 9-10 Thursday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
