Olinda F. Oen, 99, of Wapakoneta died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday February 15, 2015 at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta.
She was born on December 9, 1915 in Wapakoneta to Jacob A. & Lorena (Schaub) Kreitzer who preceded her in death. On June 9, 1937 she married Richard Oen and he died on March 3, 1976.
Survivors include 10 children; Carolyn Moots, Lima, James R. (Irene) Oen of Wapakoneta, Alice Wenning of VanWert, Martha (Louis) Lange of Wapakoneta, Joan Oen, John R. Oen both of Sidney, Gary Oen, Jane Jarrett both of Wapakoneta, Nancy (Henry) Sanford of AL and Ron Oen of GA, 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and a brother John Kreitzer of FL.
She was preceded in death by 3 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, a brother Earl Kreitzer, 2 sisters Anna Hemmert and Clara Kohler, a daughter-in-law Eva Oen and 4 sons-in-law Jack Moots, Jerry Wenning, Paul Quellhorst and Bob Jarrett.
Olinda had worked at the Diegel Canning Factory and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. She loved to read and enjoyed canning and cooking. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday February 20, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Patrick Sloneker will be officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
