Chenoweth, who survives.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty (Bud) Fiste; and her father- and mother-in-law, Alan and Lorene Chenoweth.

Jean was serving in the Air Force and going to school to be a teletype operator when she met fellow Airman, Richard.  A tremendous hostess, Jean loved to have gatherings for anything from family holidays to her beloved card club.  She was a true people person, who enjoyed interacting with others, always while wearing a smile.  Jean shared her joy of being around people through her time at The Pit Stop ice cream shop, working as a meter reader for the gas company, and as a manager for McDonald's.  She was also known for her volunteer work as a teacher's aide for Wapakoneta City Schools, as a Cub Scouts leader, and her annual summer fundraisers for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  A member of the Wapakoneta Theatre Guild, Jean shared her talents with our community for 25 years.  She and Richard were also members of First English Lutheran Church.

Services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.  Vicar Deborah Monnin will officiate.  Friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
