Nancy A. Lambert, 82, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 9:20 A.M., Friday, November 2, 2018 at Auglaize Acres.

Nancy was born on February 17, 1936, in Fryburg, the daughter of Kenneth E. and Alma M. (Reineke) Westbay who preceded her in death. On May 5, 1956, she married Bill E. Lambert who passed on May 29, 1997.

Survivors include four children, Debra Walker of Georgia, Bill (Chris) Lambert of Wapakoneta, Chris (Christopher) Dubois of Wapakoneta, Kathleen (Roger) Schantz of Plain City; eight grandchildren, Shea, Shera, Sheena, Brittany, Michelle, Jacob, Nicole, and Nick; ten great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, Sally Timmerman, Karen Wertz, Kenneth “Butch” (Theresa) Westbay, and Rick (Louise) Westbay; and three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David (Jeanette) Lambert, and Betty Alder.

Nancy was preceded in death by one sister, Ginny Epperson, and ten brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry Timmerman, Jerry Wertz, Jim Alder, Roy Rains, Ed Epperson, Ruth Stiles, Bob Lambert, Christine Griner, and Evelyn and Roy Holtzapple.

Nancy graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1954 as the class valedictorian. She worked in management at Fisher Cheese until it closed in 1986 and then later retired from Goodyear in St. Marys. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and volunteered at the St. Vincent De Paul Center. She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in Michigan where she often boated and fished with family and friends and her two Labrador retrievers Sam and Daisy. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to St. Rita’s Hospice.

The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta to handle with the arrangements.
