Mel Conley, 56, of Wapakoneta passed away at 3:46 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born on October 25, 1961 to Neve & Cloytene (Daniels) Conley who preceded him in death.

On May 2, 1997 he married Beth A. Unum and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors include three children, Brandy Conley, Chrystal Conley both of Kentucky, Kory (Mike) Yaney of St. Marys; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Nick, Garrett, Harper, Hailey, Hadley, Gage; two brothers, Jeff (Tammy) Conley of Lima, Jimmy Conley of Kentucky; two aunts, Kay (Mel) Poling of Lima and Charlotte Holbrook of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Conley and a brother Rick Conley.

Mel worked at Proctor and Gamble for 20 years as a Team Leader on Line 24.  He was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, boating, camping, and vacationing at Ft. Myers, FL where he spent time on the beach.  He was a University of Kentucky basketball fan and was always full of life and he never met a stranger and will always be remember for his distinct laugh.  Most of all he dearly loved his grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Shawnee United Methodist Church with Rev. Bryan Bucher officiating.  Burial will be at a later date.  Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
