Mary L. LaCourse, 86, of Wapakoneta went to be with the Lord at 3:00 a.m. Wednesday October 23, 2013 at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born September 17, 1927 in Wapakoneta to Albert J. & Lucy (Koch) Werling who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a brother; Harry (Ruth) Werling of Wapakoneta, 2 nieces Linda A. Cernan of Wapakoneta and Jane Herwig, a nephew Mark A. (Rita) Kinstle of Michigan, and great nieces and nephews Dustin M. (Tiffany) Cernan, Autum (John) Burden, Doug (Sheri) Werling, Sandy (Michael) Briley, and other nieces.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Lucille Chiles, Leroy Werling, Helen Kogge, Eileen LaCourse, and Maxine "Mike" Kinstle.
She graduated from St. Rita's Nursing School in 1958. She had worked for Dr. Robert Sobocinski for many years, and also Dr. Ioannidis, Dr. Christopher and then as a Nursing Supervisor at Wapakoneta Manor. She had also volunteered many years at Grand Lake State Park as a VIP and at St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member. She had also volunteered at St. Rita's Medical Center and was a member of the St. Joseph's Sewing Ladies. She was an avid Ohio State and Notre Dame fan.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday October 30, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta. Father Patrick Sloneker will be officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.

She will be missed by her beloved pets Bunny, Peaches, Molly, David, and DeeDee.
