Marilyn M. (Hollenbacher) Eisert, 87, of Wapakoneta, passed away 3:27 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Wapakoneta Manor.  She was born on September 12, 1934 in Wapakoneta to Dillon and Hulda (Manzelman) Hollenbacher, who have preceded her in death.  On May 11, 1957, she married Robert V. “Bob” Eisert, who passed away on June 26, 2018.

Survivors include her three children, Deb & Kevin Sailor, of Jackson Center, Brett & Becky Eisert, of Wapakoneta, and Alan & Michele Eisert, of Wapakoneta; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Sailor; and three siblings, Ernie Hollenbacher, of Wapakoneta, Ruby & Ned Berlet, of Wapakoneta, and Rita & Don McCullough, of New Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by two siblings, Ruth & Paul Zwiebel and Roger Hollenbacher; and two sister-in-laws, Nancy Hollenbacher and Doris & Dean Bower.

A 1952 graduate of Blume High School, Marilyn was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta.  Marilyn worked for the family business, Eisert Plumbing and Heating.  In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, eating out, and spending time with family and friends.

A private family service will be held at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Doug Pretorius officiating.  Burial of her cremated remains will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church or St. Rita’s Hospice.  The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services to handle the arrangements.  Condolences may be expressed at www.schlosserfuneralhome.com
