Lon S. Mcdermitt

Lon S. McDermitt, 73, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 4:11 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's.
He was born on August 18, 1951 in Lima, OH to Roland and Bernice (Keysor) McDermitt who preceded him in death. On February 5, 1988 he married Natalie Herron and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include a son David (Jess Denny) Herron, 5 grandchildren Parker, Olivia, Briggs, Aiden, Elliot; a brother Lee (Cherie) McDermitt; two sisters Diane McDermitt, Karen McDermitt and several nieces and nephews.
Lon was a 1970 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. He was then drafted into the U.S. Army. He served his Country from 1970 to 1974. He retired after 25 years of service at Ametek. He dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Per his wishes there will be no public services.
