Kenneth "Kenny" Osborne, 60, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 6, 1964 in Fremont, to Orville and Jenelle (Chumley) Osborne who preceded him in death.
Survivors include his two children, Karen & Todd Bruns, of New Breman and Kenny & Elizabeth Osborne Jr., of St. Marys; longtime partner, Kim Huber, of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren, Audri and Landon Bruns, Dominik, K.O. and Paige Osborne; brother, Tadd Osborne, of Sandusky; and his rescued feline companion, Baby Girl.
A 1982 graduate of Clyde High School, Kenny became involved in dirt track racing, and raced until the early 1990s, when his children were young. At that point, he became a fan, until working alongside his son as an official with the All-Star Circuit of Champions, in the late 2010s. He shared his love of 80s hair bands with his daughter and they always looked forward to their monthly breakfast dates. Kenny received his Associate Degree in Business Administration from Rhoades State College, he retired as a supervisor with Siemans Automation.
In addition to racing, Kenny loved spending time outdoors, either around the campfire or at his grill. He enjoyed trips to the movie theater with Kim and her sister, Cindy. Kenny could often be found taking pictures of family and anything race related. He also loved taking videos of Baby Girl to share with family and friends. Above all, Kenny will be remembered as a loving and supportive partner and dad. He was the best "Grandpa Race" his grandkids could ask for, as he was always present at their extra-curricular activities.
A Celebration of Life will take place on September 14, 2024 at the Fremont Speedway, more information to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to Driven 2 Save Lives (driven2savelives.org). The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services to handle the arrangements.
