Kathleen A. Koenig 78, of Wapakoneta died at 10:35 P.M. May 22, 2010 at Wapakoneta Manor after a two year battle with COPD.
She was born December 27, 1931 to Alonzo J & Emma (Ballweg) Nuss in Freyburg, Ohio who preceded her in death. On May 16, 1953 she married Edward J. Koenig who died October 28, 1985.
She is survived by three children; Deb (Gary) Schoen of Wapakoneta, Dale (Linda Luckadoo) Koenig of Cridersville, and Diane L. (Rick) Cook of Wapakoneta; 4 grandchildren Brian & Heather (Daniel Cervantes) Keith, and Ben & Mandi Cook; a great-grandchild Victor Cervantes; and a brother Marion "Dutch" Nuss of Phoenix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by a son Dean A. Koenig and 6 brothers and sisters.
She attended Wapakoneta City Schools and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She retired as the owner and operator of Kathleen's Beauty Salon in 1982.
It was Kathleen's request that there be no public visitation or services. A private family burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
