Karl Eugene Naseman Jr., 84, of Botkins, went to be with the Lord at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday September 30, 2014 at Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born on December 1, 1929 in Montezuma, OH to Carl Sr. & Hazel (Trippy) Naseman who preceded him in death. On August 9, 1950 he married Rosella Steinke who survives in Botkins.
Survivors include 8 children; Steve (Theresa) Naseman of Swanders, Tom (Kate) Naseman of New Knoxville, Urban (Barb) Naseman of Sidney, Dave (Linda) Naseman of Anna, Karla (Carl) Doseck of Botkins, Karen Seigel of Wapakoneta, Kathy (Jim) Cooper of Clarksville, Nick (Angie) Naseman of Colorado Springs, CO, 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Rosie Gianguzzo of Mesa, AZ, 2 brothers Maurace (Doris) Naseman of Botkins and Richard (Diane) Naseman of New Bremen.
He was preceded in death by a son Michael Joseph Naseman, a son-in-law Alvin Seigel and 3 sisters Ruth Perin, Wanda Bartrug and Pauline Otting.
Karl was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Rhine where he volunteered for 20 years helping with Sunday night Bingo. He was employed for 40 years at Provico in Botkins, as a truck driver and grain elevator operator. He participated in the farmers market where he displayed his woodworking, crafts and vegetables. He enjoyed cards, gardening and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mass of Remembrance is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday October 3, 2014 at St. Lawrence Church, Rhine. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Botkins Volunteer Fire Department.
