Juliet R. "Julie" Kidd, 88, of Wapakoneta died at 3:20 p.m. Monday May 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 6, 1925 in Glandorf, OH to Charles & Frances (Deters) Ellerbrock who preceded her in death.
She married John Kidd and he passed away on September 5, 1967.
Survivors include 3 children; Judi Bailey of Wapakoneta, Steve (Barb) Kidd of Chicago and Ken (Jan) Kidd of Atlanta, 10 grandchildren Scotty and Jennifer Averesch, Sydney, Sam, John (Amy), Scott and Doug Kidd, Stephanie, Rick and Mike Hamilton, 3 great-grandchildren Alexx Meinerding, Jenna and Amanda Kidd and a brother Don (Pat) Ellerbrock.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Hamilton, 5 sisters Bertha Ellerbrock, Irene Yaufman, Rita Wells, Mildred Heckman, Myrtle Ellerbrock and 4 brothers Dick, Art, Carolus and Vern Ellerbrock.
Julie worked in the office at General Dynamics during WWII. She also worked in the school cafeteria at Elida and St. Charles and at Home Service Dry Cleaners and Sealts Dry Cleaners as a counter clerk. She was a member of St. Joseph and St. Gerald's Catholic Churches. She was also a member of the St. Rita's Auxiliary. She enjoyed flowers and always had a green thumb. She loved her kids and grandkids making her the best mother and grandmother ever.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday May 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. Rev. Daniel Hunt will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta
