Julian P. “Andy” Andrews passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 5, 2018 at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on December 6, 1928 in Lima, OH to Ralph William & Josephine L. (Fegan) Andrews who preceded him in death.  He married Maryann Shively and she survives in Wapakoneta along with their daughter, Lorraine (Mark) McIntosh of Knoxville, TN.

Surviving children from his previous marriage; Janet (Tim) Moore of Lima, Kristine (Gary) Higbie, Diane (Chuck) Knotts both of Huntsville, Timothy (Mary) Andrews, Scot Andrews both of Lima, a sister, Josephine L. Fish of Garden Grove, CA; sisters-in-law Fran Andrews of Encinitas, CA, Wilma Dyer of Lima; daughter-in-law Phyllis Andrews of Muskegon, MI; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son; Michael P. Andrews; two grandsons Eric Knotts and Jonathan Andrews; a sister Jean Ann Case; and brothers James, John, Ralph and Jerome Andrews.

He enjoyed golfing, photography and woodworking.  Mr. Andrews had worked at Neon Products and Superior Coach in Lima.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 370, Lima, OH.

Per his wishes there will no public services.  A private family memorial service will be held at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating.  Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 309 Perry St., Wapakoneta, OH 45895.
