Joyce E. Rolston, 73, of Uniopolis died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday December 30, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born on January 17, 1941 in Auglaize County to Leland J. & Hulda (Campbell) Brackney who preceded her in death.
On November 24, 1966 she married Joe Rolston and he survives in Uniopolis.
Survivors also included two sons; Timothy (Joanne) Rolston of Ann Arbor, MI, Michael (Andrea) Rolston of Waynesfield and three grandchildren Olivia, Colby and Owen Rolston.
She was preceded in death by a brother Don Brackney and a sister Margie
(Herb) Blank.
Joyce was a 1959 graduate of Blume High School. She attended Bowling Green State University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She then taught at Roundhead and Beaverdam Schools. She retired after 15 years as the clerk of the Village of Uniopolis. She was also a 25 year member of the Uniopolis Fire Department where she was an E.M.T. and bookkeeper. She loved traveling, reading and gardening.
Funeral services will begin at 8:00 p.m. Friday January 2, 2015 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize County Cancer Society.
