John L. Sudman, 61, of Wapakoneta, died at 5:01 P.M. on Saturday March 9, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, in Lima, Ohio.
He was born in Celina, Ohio on December 16, 1951 to Howard & Martha (Young) Sudman who preceded him in death. His father passed away when he was very young, and his mother later married Homer DeArmond, who has also passed.
On July 7, 1979, he married Diana (Saintignon) Sudman, who survives in Wapakoneta. Survivors also include two daughters, Terry & Daryl McDonald of Wapakoneta, and Kim Kell of Washington, D.C., a grandchild, Bailey Kell, three brothers, Robert & Janice Sudman, David & Joanne Sudman, and Art DeArmond, and one sister, Ruth & Tim Coil. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Eldon "Tonto" & Bonnie Saintignon of St. Marys, as well as several nieces and nephews.
John graduated from Wapakoneta Senior High in 1970. While employed at Goodyear, he met his wife, Diana, and they have been married for 33 A½ years. He worked for Crown Equipment in New Bremen for the past 28 A½ years. He enjoyed spending weekends at home around the pond fishing with his family, friends, and black lab, Trisha. He was always known by his neighbors as a caring, friendly, and outgoing guy. John will be greatly missed by everyone.
Memorial services will begin at 10:30 A.M. Friday March 15, 2013 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00-10:30 A.M Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to purchase trees in memory of John, or donations may be made in his memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
