Jean A. Schneider, 61, of Wapakoneta passed away at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday September 6, 2016 at Auglaize Acres surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 2, 1954 in Lima, OH to John & Betty Jean (Kimmel) Martin who both have preceded her in death along with her step-father George Gerstner.
On November 28, 1986 she married Patrick Schneider and he survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include two children; Tiffany (Gabe) Randall, Joel Schneider both of Wapakoneta, two grandchildren Clara Jean & Gavin John Randall, 4 brothers and sisters, Bob Martin, Joyce (Donny) Sheipline, John (Becky) Martin all of Wapakoneta, Vic Martin of OK, two step-sisters Gin Place, Cheryl Gerstner, a step-brother Mark Gerstner, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Karen Pack.
Jean was a 1973 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. She did factory work until 1988 when she became a mother. She was very active in her children's lives as they grew up. She was also an active member at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Glynwood. She served as the secretary of St. Thomas Cemetery, Glynwood. She enjoyed reading, sewing, growing flowers and computers. She was a member of Eagles 691 and American Legion Post 330. Her biggest pride and joy were her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday September 10, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Glynwood where Rev. Barry Stechschulte will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the James Cancer Hospital or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
