Jean M. Kantner , 85, of Wapakoneta, died May 25, 2009 at 12:23 P.M. at her residence.
She was born June 2, 1923 in Auglaize County to Ernest & Viola (Edwards) Malston who precede her in death. On March 1, 1942 she married Norman L. Kantner who died October 7, 1999.
Mrs. Kantner was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by 5 sons; Jim A. (Elsie) Kantner, Lima, William L. (Norma Brown) Kantner, St. Marys, Rick E. (Terry) Kantner, Wapakoneta, Ken E. (Linda) Kantner, Wapakoneta, and Dan E. Kantner also of Wapakoneta, 19 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-grandchild, and 1 step-sister Marylyn Van Uum of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by one son Robert M. Kantner of St. Marys; two sisters Leah McLaurin and Bernice Scott; and one step-brother Bob Fittro.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 A.M. Friday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta with one hour of visitation prior. The Rev. Mark Bauer will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
