Helen S. Hemleben, 81, of Wapakoneta died at 5:25 P.M. April 6, 2011 at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born in Dayton, OH on March 16, 1930 to Michael B. & Mary C. (Burke) Frost who both preceded her in death.
On September 26, 1953 she married Tex Hemleben and he survives in Wapakoneta.
She also survived by eight children; Ted (Dawn) Hemleben, Tim (Carole) Hemleben, Therese (Jay) Hathaway, Tom (Julie) Hemleben, Polly (Vincent) Lyons, Thad Hemleben, Kate Hemleben, Mike (Bretta) Hemleben; nine grandchildren Chrissy Dunnifon, T.J., Danielle, Samantha, Nick, Sophia, Vincent, Mikey, and Hayley Hemleben; three great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister Robert Frost, Carolyn Frost, and Joseph (Mary) Frost; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister Father Michael Frost, Pauletta Frost, Ray Frost, and Jack Frost; a daughter in law April Hemleben and a granddaughter Grace Hemleben.
Helen graduated in 1948 from the Oldenburg Academy of the Immaculate Conception with honors in Indiana. In 1950 she then attended the Traphagen Commercial Art School in New York City graduating with a degree in fine arts. She was also a wedding cake designer and baker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren taking many trips to New York City. She especially enjoyed gardening and reading.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
