Gretchen L. Schneider, 63, of Wapakoneta died at 2:15 a.m. Sunday December 29, 2013 at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born November 18, 1950 in Lima, OH to Frederick John & Frances L. (Kennedy) Schneider who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son and daughter; Travis (Nicole) Bowen and Sheena (Jay) Behr both of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren Victoria, Travis II, Logan Bowen and Kylie and Kaitlin Behr, one sister and two brothers; Brenda Fisher of Lima, Dave Schneider of Dayton and John Schneider of CA.
Gretchen was a 1969 graduate of Lima Senior High School. She attended the Ohio University. She was a Red Cross certified health care aide. She was also a member of People for the Ethical Treatments of Animals and many humane organizations. She will always be remembered as a free spirit that everybody loved to be around.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday January 2, 2013 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize County Humane Society.
