George J. Rostorfer Jr., 90 of rural Wapakoneta died at 10:45 A.M. August 10, 2012 at Heartland of Indian Lake, Lakeview after an extended illness.
He was born on August 1, 1922 in Wapakoneta to George & Laura (Knoch) Rostorfer who preceded him in death.
On November 7, 1947 he married Lorraine F. Ellis who survives.
Survivors also include two sons; Fred (Diane) & Frank (Debra) Rostorfer both of Wapakoneta, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother and a sister.
He was preceded in death be a daughter Jill, and 3 sisters.
Mr. Rostorfer was a past employee of Ford Motor Company and was the owner of an excavating company as well as a farmer. He was also a veteran serving in the South Pacific during WWII.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday August 15, 2012 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Pastor David Moore will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Gutman with military rites being performed by the V.F.W. Post 8445.
Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
