George R. "Dick" Moyler, 80, of Waynesfield passed away at 5:18 a.m. on Sunday January 3, 2016 at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta.
He was born on May 13, 1935 in Lima, OH to John & Thelma (Clevenger) Moyler who preceded him in death. On April 5, 1957 he married Jacklyn "Jackie" Morris who preceded him in death on March 10, 2008.
Survivors include two children; Janine (Andrew) Little, Mark (Kerri Good) Moyler both of Waynesfield, a daughter-in-law Elizabeth "Betty" Moyler of Fort Loramie, four grandchildren Shiana (John Murphy) Moyler of Lima, Erica (Jonathon) Otwell of Clarksville, TN, Jayde (Jonny Guffey) Moyler of Cridersville, Benjamin Little of Waynesfield, a great-grandchild Bentley Otwell, a brother Robert "Bob" Moyler of Wapakoneta and two sisters Peggy (Michael) Krick of Spencerville, Jenis "Jenny" Engle of Cridersville.
He was preceded in death by a son Richard "Rich" Moyler, a granddaughter Carmen Elizabeth Little, a brother John "Jack" Moyler, infant brother Timothy Moyler, a sister Patricia "Pat" Pugh, a sister-in-law Frances "Fran" Moyler, a brother-in-law Danny Engle and his in-laws Dormal "Ben" (Carmen) Morris.
George attended Lima South High School and later obtained his GED. He worked at Neon Products, Sheller Globe, Chrysler Amplex and Chrysler-Toledo Machining from which he retired. He served for many years on the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department. He is a member of UAW Union Local 1435 retiree's division. He is also a member of the Waynesfield Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing euchre, playing bones with his brother Bob and watching the OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns. He and his wife, with the help of his in-laws built the house they lived in.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 7, 2016 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Pastor Don Smith will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Waynesfield. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or to the Waynesfield Baptist Church.
