Evelyn F. Barlow, 89, of New Knoxville formerly of Wapakoneta died at 12:35 p.m. Monday October 6, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 6, 1925 in Macon, MO to George & Fern (Lee) Cox who preceded her in death. On July 22, 1950 she married Lowell J Barlow and he passed away on August 25, 1978.
She is survived by four daughters; Dianna (Larry) Ziegler, Mary (James) Gardner, Kathy (Tim) Schneider, Janice Kreitzer, 12 grandchildren Ron (Shawna) Ziegler, Shawn (Carmen) Ziegler, Jason (Sonya) Ziegler, Lea (Sergio) Salazar, James Gardner, Barbara Gardner, Teresa (Alan) Hanley, Eric (Lara) Gardner, Jaime (Charles) Chinn, Brooke (FiancAC.e Eric Oen) Schneider, Alexander Kreitzer, Jacquelyn Kreitzer, 22 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers George Lee Cox, Gary Cox and a sister Virginia Pinkerman.
She was preceded in death by a grandson David Gardner and 2 brothers Donald & Kenneth Cox.
Evelyn was a branch manager for Home Federal Savings & Loan in Florida. She also worked at Koneta Rubber in the Accounts Receivable department where she retired from after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Eagles #691 and American Legion Post #330. She enjoyed simple country pleasures along with crocheting, gardening, hunting mushrooms, cooking, and fishing. She especially enjoyed and loved her family and grandchildren and will always be remembered as a very sweet lady.
Memorial services are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday October 10, 2014 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Rev. Herb Wilker will be officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, OH. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
