Ervin E. "Ed" Rohm 88, of Wapakoneta died at 8:30 PM June 6, 2012 at St. Rita's Medical Center Lima.
He was born in Vanderbilt, PA on January 22, 1924 to Curly E. & Ada (Blair) Rohm who preceded him in death. In 1948, he married Ardath Moyer who passed away May 12, 2012.
Survivors also include a son; Keith (Joy) Rohm of Wapakoneta, a daughter Karen (Keith) Martin of Louisville, KY, a grandson Matthew (Sharon) Rohm of Wapakoneta and two great-granddaughters Alexa & Jasmine Rohm of Wapakoneta, and a granddaughter Sarah Martin of Lexington, KY. He was the eldest of seven children.
After high school Ervin served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Afterwards, he attended Ohio Northern University where he graduated with a master's degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. He retired from the Westinghouse Corporation after 25+ years of service and moved back to St. Marys to reside.
His lifelong wishes were to have a private family service which will be held at a later date at Resthaven Cemetery near Moulton. There will be no public visitation scheduled.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize Acres Activity Fund.
