Edith M. Harshbarger, 70, of Wapakoneta died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday August 24, 2013 at her residence.
She was born on March 14, 1943 in Elida, OH to Arthur C. & Mary E. (Tucker) Smith who preceded her in death. On June 16, 1989 she married Ricky D. Harshbarger and he survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include 4 daughters and a son; Tammy (Briggs) Douce of Ada, David C. (Jennifer) Briggs Jr. of Lima, Barb (Rex) Motter of Waynesfield, April (Rob) Hall of Columbus, GA, Debbie (Mike Hunter) Briggs of Lima, 6 grandchildren Tiara Douce, David C. Briggs III, Trista Douce, Jessie Motter, Corey Briggs, Heather Tucker, 3 brothers Nelson (Pat) Smith of St. Marys, Linden (Jan) Smith of Lima, and Roy (Sue) Smith of Elida.
Edith was a 1961 graduate of Elida High School. She was a member of Restoration Temple in Lima. She had worked at Superior Metal in Wapakoneta. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Food Network.
Memorial services are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday September 1, 2013 at Restoration Temple, Lima. Pastor Gene Salsbury will be officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta to handle the arrangements.
