Dorothy L. "Dottie" Shultz, 79, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 3:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on September 15, 1942, in Celina, to Thomas P. and Julia C. (Berg) Cogan who have preceded her in death.  On February 8, 1985, she married William F. "Bill" Shultz, who passed away on December 28, 2019.

Survivors include six children, Cherie & Dennis Wells, Mike & Carrie Marchal, Tom & Terri Marchal, Toni Samaniego, Ken Marchal, Alli & Jeff Braun; 31 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann (Charlie) Brackman; two brothers, Pat (Mary) Cogan, Jim (Marj) Cogan and many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, Dorothy was a longtime member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rhine.  She retired from Monarch Lathes, Sidney and had helped run the Marchal Tavern, Botkins, in the 1970s.  Dottie was an active member of the Buckeye Farm Antiques and also the Florida Flywheelers.  In addition to bowling and reading, she loved spending her free time RV-ing with Bill, especially wintering in Florida.  Dottie will be remembered as a loving wife and dedicated mom, who had a special place in her heart for her canine companions.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rhine.  Father Jedidiah Tritle will officiate.  Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Glynwood.  Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Petersburg Parishes.
