Doris M. Orphal Weber, 85, of Wapakoneta died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday May 23, 2015 at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born on June 3, 1929 in Wapakoneta to Earl M. & Florence (Beerline) Orphal who preceded her in death. On August 26, 1948 she married Kenneth W. "Kenny" Weber and he survives in Wapakoneta.
She is survived by a daughter; Amy Lou Weber Bailey, 2 grandchildren Damien M. Bailey, Evelyn M. Bailey (Chip) Snider, 2 great-grandchildren Eva Sophia Snider, Catherine Sky Bailey, a sister Glenna Orphal McCormick, 2 sisters-in-law Maxine Weber Puhl, Helen Heil Orphal, a brother-in-law Jack (Joan) Weber and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers John, Jim and Robert "Bob" Orphal and a brother-in-law Bill McCormick.
Doris was a 1947 graduate of Blume High School. She then opened her own dance studio the Doris Mae School of Dance which she operated for 35 years. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul U.C.C. She especially enjoyed decorating, flowers, yard work and taking pictures. She and Kenny took pleasure in traveling to bed and breakfasts throughout Ohio and Indiana. For 15 years they had antique cars and trucks that they took in area parades. They were also members of the Ohio Flying Farmers for over 20 years.
Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Pastor Dan Holbrook will be officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
