Doris L. Zwiebel Brautigam

Doris L. Zwiebel Brautigam, 90, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Saturday February 4, 2017 at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born in Auglaize County on February 2, 1927 to Edison & Milda (Hollenbacher) Schumann who preceded her in death. On March 3, 1946 she married Emory E. Zwiebel and he passed away on August 3, 1989. Then on January 11, 1992 she married Harold Brautigam and he passed away on October 11, 2002.
She is survived by four children; Fritz (Susan) Zwiebel of Wapakoneta, Jean Ann (Gary) McCreight of Lake Havasu, AZ, Tom (Eileen) Zwiebel of St. Marys, Kurt (Julie) Zwiebel of St. Marys, four step-children Jim (Ellen) Brautigam of Wapakoneta, Susan Peay of San Antino, TX, Mark Brautigam of Columbus, Ellen Brautigam of Wapakoneta, a sister Dona (Paul) Zwiebel of Wapakoneta, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Bernita (Wally) Brown, two sisters-in-law Catherine (Harold) Fisher, Waneta Zwiebel, a brother-in-law Lester Zwiebel, two grandchildren Christopher and Christina Zwiebel and a great-granddaughter Abigail "Abby" Gable.
Doris was a 1945 graduate of Botkins High School. She worked along with her husband farming and milking cows and then started EZ Campgrounds in 1978 and operated it for 24 years. . She enjoyed baking wedding cakes and was an excellent bowler. She was also a member of First English Lutheran Church.
Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 8, 2017 at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Moulton with Pastor Neil Brady officiating. There will be no public visitation. The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services to handle the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, First English Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.
