Donna M. Azbell

Donna Mae Azbell, 88, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 2:09 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Vancrest of St. Marys.  She was born on January 9, 1934, in Pusheta Township to Raymond and Stella (Kohler) Zwiebel, who have preceded her in death.  On September 22, 1956, she married Bernard "Roy" Azbell, who survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors also include three children, Kirk (Gayle) Azbell of Wapakoneta, Mark (Kim) Azbell of St. Marys, Jeana Azbell of Sidney; four grandchildren, Rex (Makenzie) Azbell, Ryan (Roberta) Azbell, Kendra Azbell, Jacob Azbell; a great-granddaughter, Harper; twin great-grandsons, Rowen and Rafael Azbell; a sister-in-law, Cleora (Jim) Berger of St. Marys and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Randolph (Milda) Zwiebel, Eugene (Elgena) Zwiebel and Roland "Toots" (Rosemary) Zwiebel.

A 1952 graduate of Botkins High School, Donna loved to travel and was always planning a trip somewhere.  She and her husband visited 45 states together.  Donna was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, served on the Alter Guild for many years, and was a Red Cross Volunteer.  She was self employed for 25 years and enjoyed flower gardening, antiques and visiting Tea Rooms.  Donna will be remembered for her dedication to her family, always doing whatever she could for them.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Pastor Mark Bishop will officiate and interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service Monday morning at the funeral home.
