Donald E. Cummins

Donald E. Cummins, 89, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 12:54 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Otterbein, St. Marys.  He was born on February 20, 1933 in Lakeview, to Elmer N. and Hattie M. McKinnon Cummins who have preceded him in death.  On October 6, 1955, he married Marilyn M. Gould, who passed away March 8, 2015.

Survivors include six children, William Cummins, Gary Cummins, Michael Cummins, Tony (Leigh) Cummins, Cheryl (Allan) Miller, Linda (Robert) Hock; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Cummins, Vernon "Jim" Cummins, and Gene Cummins.

Don served in the United States Army from 1953-1955.  He retired from the Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant in 1990.  Don was a member of the American Legion Post 330, Wapakoneta.  He enjoyed working outside, boating and fishing.

A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Rev. Michael Westbay will officiate.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. Friday until the time of services.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, with military rites performed by the VFW Post 8445.  Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
