Deborah A. "Deb" Steinke, 61, of Wapakoneta, passed away on February 26, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Sidney, OH on October 23, 1955 to Tom & Virginia (Hittepole) Uppenkamp who preceded her in death. On October 25, 1974 she married Ivan Steinke who passed away on June 18, 2016.
She is survived by a brother; Paul Uppenkamp, brothers and sisters-in-law Phyllis Ward, Elsie (Dale) McGlothen, Stime (Tim) Davis, Frank (Deb) Steinke, Dawn Steinke and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law Dan Steinke and Hasroe Ward.
Deb supported her husband operating S&S Hay Company and also worked at Kennedy's Garage. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed riding horses with Ivan, butchering with the family at their house, gardening, canning and baking and she loved making the most of life.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church, Botkins with Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize County Humane Society.
