Dale E. Hamp

Dale E. Hamp, 69, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 3:41 p.m. October 31, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center, in Lima. He was born on May 19, 1947, in Lima, to Paul E. & Alberta C. Miller Hamp, who have preceded him in death.
Survivors include a sister, Sharon A. & David Helmlinger, of Wapakoneta; a brother, Dennis L. & Donna Hamp, of Connersville, IN; two nephews, Mark Helmlinger, of Delaware and Thad & Deanna Helmlinger, of Walkerville, MI; a niece, Darcy & Chad Coates, of Wapakoneta; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; and seven cousins.
He was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Bernard & Betty Miller.
Dale attended Wapakoneta City Schools and served in the United States Army. He retired this fall from Koneta Rubber after working 46 dedicated years. Dale will be remembered as a hard worker, a good person, and a beloved brother.
A graveside service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, where Reverend Glory Geib will officiate with military rites by the VFW Post 8445. Friends may call from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
