Christopher L. "Chris" Martin, 38, of Wapakoneta died at 1:52 p.m. Saturday November 7, 2015 at the Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus.
He was born in St. Marys on July 9, 1977 to John & Becky (Braun) Martin Jr.
His parents both survive in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include 2 brothers; Tim (Jill) Martin of Buckland, Rich (Judi) Martin of St. Marys, 2 nieces and 2 nephews Cody (Sarah Fenstermaker) Martin of St. Marys, Brooke Martin of St. Marys, John "J.T" Martin and Elizabeth Martin both of Buckland, his best friend Mike Moore and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Chris was a 1997 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School. He worked as a carry out at Community Markets. He was involved in the Special Olympics and enjoyed Wapakoneta Redskins sports, bowling, Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and watching his nieces and nephews at their sporting events. Chris could always be found at his favorite hangout, Astro Lanes with his best friend Mike.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday November 12, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Patrick Sloneker will be officiating. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
