Carrie Marchal, age 59, of New Knoxville, passed away at her home on February 11, 2025. She was born at St. Rita's Hospital in Lima to Susan (Horman) and Robert Cummins, who have preceded her in death. Carrie graduated from Anna High School in 1983.
Carrie met her husband Mike while she was a Senior in High School, and they wed on September 16, 1983. Together, they raised three sons: Mark, Matt and MJ (Jessica) and were blessed with two grandchildren, Braylon and Makenna, whom she adored.
Carrie had a passion for life and her hobbies brought her much joy. She was an active member of the Eagles 691, AMVETS 333, and the Legion 330, where she enjoyed spending time with friends, playing bingo, pulling tabs, and gambling on the machines. When at home you would always find Carrie with a book in hand and 600 plus in her personal library. Carrie also loved to crochet and made special blankets and gifts for her children and nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed playing numerous games on her cell phone.
For 25 years, Carrie worked as an Industrial Cook at Agrana Fruit, where she was a dedicated employee and made lasting friendships. She was also a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mike; their three sons and a daughter-in-law; two grandchildren; three siblings, Cindy (Chuck) Short, Bert (Tammy) Cummins and Carl (Kim) Cummins; as well as numerous aunts and uncles who adored her dearly; a host of cousins who shared in her joyful spirit; and many nieces and nephews who cherished her love and guidance.
Carrie will be remembered for her kind heart, her smile, and the love she so gave to her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, laughter, and the memories of the many lives she touched.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Sean Wilson officiating. Family and friends may visit 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Interment of her cremated remains will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta.
Carrie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
