Carolyn L. "Carol" Dershem

Carolyn L. “Carol” Dershem, 74, of Wapakoneta passed away at 8:45 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.

She was born on July 14, 1948 in Lima, OH to Lloyd C. & Vivian L. (Priest) Boyd who preceded her in death.  On June 10, 1989 she married Terry Dershem and he survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors include two daughters Rhonda Windle, Amanda (Brandon) Neidemire both of Wapakoneta; 4 grandchildren Jacob, Joshua (Katie), Ashley Windle, Dean Neidemire;1 great-grandson Emmitt Windle; siblings Ronnie Boyd, Sharon Rex, Ada (Tim) Mason, Penny Pittson and Paula Boyd.

She was preceded in death by her step-father Ray Bowman; brother-in-law Ralph Rex; 3 sisters Bev Clevenger, Vicki Boyd, Cindy Bicknell and a brother Lloyd Boyd.

Carol attended Lima Senior High School and had career in food service as a waitress, manager of Ponderosa and working in the bakery at Walmart.  She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.  She enjoyed crafting, gardening, flowers and bird watching.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Gary Bragg officiating.  Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Fryburg.  Family and friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Friday and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
