Carol A. Grady

Carol A. Grady, 74, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 20, 1948 in Cleveland, OH to James and Marie (Krueger) Grady who preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Jessica (Brad) Kaeck of Wapakoneta; four siblings Joan Ronan of Newark, OH, Kathy Carr of Venice, FL, Jim Grady of Newark, OH, Jan Aguilar of Swanton, OH and sister-in-law Mary Ann Grady of Newark, OH. Carol was also blessed with step-grandsons Chandler, Nathan and Evan Kaeck of Wapakoneta, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Harry Carr and her faithful companion Tucker.

Carol was a 1966 graduate of Newark Catholic High School and then obtained a degree in Social Work from Kent State University. She was an addiction counselor for most of her career and the Executive Director of ASTOP in Lima, OH. She spent the last years of her professional life as an Employee Assistance Counselor in Toledo, OH. Carol’s work was truly her passion and helped thousands of people over the years find solutions and options to live better lives. In her free time, she loved gardening, working on puzzles, crafting and was an artist of stained glass. Carol’s Catholic faith was an important part of her life, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta and Little Flower Parish in Toledo, Ohio, where she also sang in the choir.

Per her wishes there will be no public services.
