Carol A. Wheaton

Carol A. Wheaton, 69, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 3:24 PM, Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's, Lima surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 13, 1952 in Lima, OH to Neil and Evelyn (Drexler) Rader who preceded her in death.  On May 3, 2002 she married Robin Wheaton and he survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include 3 daughters Michele (Murphy) Howe, Beth (Paul) Klima, Jill (Will Kennedy) Cvetanovich; 4 grandchildren Jamie (Nick) Merrell, Christie (Marcel) Da Costa, Cooper Myers, Jolene Kennedy; 2 great-grandsons Riley and Jameson Merrell; 2 sisters Alice Rader and Joi Rader.
Carol was reunited in Heaven with her parents and infant son Scott Poling.
Carol was a 1970 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School and then attended Miami Jacobs College.  She retired from the Auglaize County Juvenile Court as Chief Deputy Clerk.  Following retirement she spent 15 years distributing the Wapakoneta Daily News throughout the community. Carol loved spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandsons.  She had a very strong work ethic and passed that down to her children and grandchildren.  She will be remembered for putting other's needs before her own by helping  people in need and rescuing animals.  Carol found joy in sharing her art by painting rocks and placing them around the community for others to enjoy.  She was loved by anyone who knew her and will be deeply missed.
It was Carol's wishes to be cremated.
Family and friends may call from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.  Private family services will follow.  The family has requested that all attendees please wear masks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Auglaize County Humane Society in Carol's name.
