Betty Ann Johnson, 87, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 9:09 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the Wapakoneta Manor.  She was born on January 27, 1934 in Wapakoneta, to Eamer R. and Norma K. (Eisert) Ruppert who have preceded her in death.  On March 2, 1953, she married Roger G. Johnson, who passed away on April 22, 1997.

Survivors include three children, Douglas G. (Pam) Johnson, of Russells Point, Kathy M. (Jim) Beste, of Wapakoneta, Denise A. (Larry) Miller, of Wapakoneta; daughter-in-law, Laura Johnson, of Sidney; nine grandchildren, Chris (Ron) Landin, Brook (Brian) Roller, Jason (Elizabeth) Johnson, Jamie (Ken) Rasmussen, Ashley (Andrew) Rogers, Tiffany (Scott) Albers, Dusty (Tina) Wallace, Kimberly (Josh) Thomas, Jimmy Beste; twelve great-grandchildren, Cody Landin, Cullen Rogers, Michaela Rogers, Toby Hunt, Adilynn Albers, Jared Albers, Willow Albers, Leila Wallace, Hayden Ranly, Zane Ranly, Luke Thomas, Lilly Thomas; two sister-in-laws, Patty Ruppert, of Wapakoneta, Eloise Ruppert of St. Marys; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her son, Ken E. Johnson; daughter-in-law, Pat Johnson; sister, Gladys & Marion "Punk" Zwiebel; two brothers, Donald "Whitey" Ruppert, Dale & Becky Ruppert.

Betty was a dedicated employee at the Fisher Cheese Company and Walter & Sons, Inc. Meats.  She was a lifetime member of the VFW #8445 Auxiliary.  Betty was an avid Tuesday night Bingo player, and continued playing when she moved into Wapakoneta Manor.  She never met a stranger, but her true treasure was her family.  She will be remembered as a loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma, who enjoyed spending time together as a family, either at home or at any of their various activities.

The family would like to thank the Wapakoneta Manor for the tremendous care given to Miss Bett.

A private family service will be held and Betty will be interred at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wapakoneta Manor's Activity Fund.
